There’s no printed tag to tell front vs back for wear, just a small tag on the outer side. I just tell my daughter to make sure the tag is to her right/my left when she’s putting them on. These are NOT leakproof! They are very padded, but I’d make sure you have your little in some thicker pants for your sake of cleaning up accidents. That being said, there is a cool diamond like sewn pattern on the inner lining, which I have found to be incredibly helpful in rinsing out #2 accidents in the shower. Just wipe out as much as you can before rinsing or you’ll be wiping chunks out of your shower too. These have all been washed Several times now (I bought two packs for starting out/high accident days and wash all at the end of the day) and still are holding up very very well.
