Why pay a fortune for a Manfrotto tripod when you can get this for a great price. Nice and stable even fully extended. A little weighty but more importantly stable.The head can be turned upside down for macro or copying and can also be shortened if required.When you have removed the column from the legs just look for a line halfway down the column hold both sides and twist it unscrews(this was not on my infomation sheet from Slik)For the average photographer this is a exceptional tripod.Only downside is no foam on the legs(thinking of the cold weather)and you will need a 1/4" to 3/8" adaptor for the screw on top of the centre column to take the better quality heads with a 3/8" fitting( Which I think should come with the heads ).All in all can't really be faulted 5 stars from me ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars a good all round tripod nice and stable *by O***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 June 2011* This is a really good tripod for the money. I was looking at the manfrotto legs and read a lot of reviews for other tripods none seemed to mention this one. I was put off slik because I bought a poor quality one. Then I saw someone using one and thought thats a really good tripod.
