Its lip is thinner than other models, allowing for more space between the string and the palm, as well as more coverage of your thumb pad. At first sight, the lip seemed a bit short for my thumb, but it works perfectly and provides a clean release. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for starting out *by J***A on July 4, 2021* The plastic Vermil rings are nice for trying out different ring geometry without committing to a more expensive metal variant. Also the manufacturer of these rings are really nice when you order direct from them. If you aren't sure about the products send them an email through their website (not amazon). Be aware that these plastic rings can snap on higher draw weight, or with a lot of use or a combination of the two. I snapped mine drawing about 45#, ~100 arrows daily for a few months. And that's a middle of the road draw weight. Generally speaking ring shapes are personal preference. With Vermil Victory there is no string pinch yet the string can be felt against the skin inside the joint. It has two slightly raised bits that hold your grip rock steady on the string. If you are used to a leather ring, this is probably right up your alley.
