A big bull headed dog likely will need a heavier choke chain to get their attention. Pulling into the choke can still be expected as well, the point is to 'pop' them when they misbehave such as pulling on leash or jumping on people like mine has been. You give a very swift upwards jerk with the leash and immediately release. Don't jerk up and hold it there. Find the right amount of pressure it takes to get your dog's attention when you pop him and always pair the correction with the word no, then immediately give him/her the command you want them to perform such as heel or sit or stay. When they do it, praise praise praise and get as excited as you can about it. If you know what you are doing, these are a very useful tool.

A: I got mediums for my dogs and they are between 35 to 45 lb and it seemed to fit good. so if you wanted to be a little bit loose I would just go for medium if you want it more snug try a small.

A: I would get a 20 or 22 inch. If your dog has a leaner face and muzzle I would go with the 20.

**Q: Where are these chains made ?**
A: Idk where it was made. Chain is ok. My pup is 45 pounds and runs. It was good for training . Worked for 6 weeks then he tried to run after a squirl, and a link opened. Easy fix, but it broke again. I got a thinker one at Walmart for $3.00

**Q: What size would you recommend for a 17 inch neck pit**
A: You probably need at least 2" larger. It will depend on the size of your dogs head. Some pits' heads are much larger than normal.

Lighter weight than the one we were replacing, but still good quality. Had to purchase a larger size collar for our little fatty girl, pug mini American shepherd mix who weighs 30# and grew out of her original one given to us by her trainer. She is a sweet, excitable and formally dog reactive girl. We use this collar when walking her since she needs reminders to slow down and heel, and this type is what our dog trainer used. The trainer helped us remember how to place it on a dog by remembering that once looped and holding the collar in front of you, it should look like the letter "P", for pretty puppy. That is for a dog heeling to your left.
