I bought the sphere because I guessed that the bulb would be closer to the warming bowl and I was right! I use warming oils from Walmart! I'm not sure how long it takes to warm up the very first time because I took a nap but when I woke up the smell was very powerful. Maybe too powerful! I wouldn't recommend leaving it on for more than a few hours or however long it takes to get the scent to spread just because of the strength, unless you like very strong smells. Or dilute it with something like olive or coconut oil. Anyway I filled it nearly to the top and it lasted about 24 hours. It didn't burn up as quickly as other people reported so perhaps the brand and whether or not it's diluted makes a difference. After the first 2 days of leaving it on 24hrs I've decided to turn it on and off every few hours so the scent doesn't overwhelm me or my pets. It also makes a great night light! I was lucky to get one that's denser/thicker on one side so I can turn it around depending on my mood. You can get a bit more light if you take the bowl out altogether. It's literally perfect! The density of the stone does seem to make a difference in how hot it gets so that it will heat up the oil.It was worth the wait to get it right so Thank You! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don’t expect to get a full wax cube in the melter *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2019* I got this item mainly because I wanted a Himalayan salt night light for the bathroom. I love the kind of glow from it and it’s air purifying ability too. But mostly I just got it for its looks since it’s very natural looking. I would have given it 5 stars if I could get more than 1/4 of a wax cube in it. Seems kind of dumb that they’d make the wax melting part so tiny. I however did know beforehand it would be small when I bought it, and I have a small bathroom so no big deal. Just would have been nice to at least be able to get half of a wax cube into it. So my work around is I get a wax cube and carefully cut them into Fourths with a knife, then stick those small wax cube pieces into a ziplock bag and keep it in the bathroom. It’s a little extra work but it not a huge deal. If anything it’s saves me from blowing through the wax melts too quickly. Another idea I had was maybe using a cheese grater to make even smaller bits so you can just take a couple pinches of the wax and put it in the melter. You might be able to get more in it that way. Anyway for now I’m happy with it but just be aware it’s not going to be like other typical wax warmers.
