Are the materials cruelty free?** A: I wish I could help you. It really made me think - but a can't see a way to contact the manufacturers to find out. The product itself is very nice, but sorry I don't have that information. **Q: what side does the cat sit on it** A: They can sit on either side - I have the lighter side up but my cat often goes under it if it’s cold **Q: Can you fold it to fit a bed and will it still remain warm?** A: I folded it and my cat loved it. I can only assume it was warm for her. **Q: My cat just sniffed it and either walks around it or jumps over it! Any suggestions would be most welcome to get him to actually try it? It’s very soft and comforting and we folded it in half for extra depth.
