Players can select from 83 unique characters, or create their own original character with a multitude of options through the edit function. The visual customization goes further with the newly implemented ability to customize their horses, banners and "normal" officers. Review: One Star - Terrible graphics. Not like DW8 at all. Review: Awesome game - An awesome fun game. What I expected an Empires game to be. I will be mostly writing about the edit feature. The character creation is a blast and you can group them into pre made kingdoms of their own with customised flags, horses and soldiers. Note that the customisation options for the soldiers and horses are a little shallow when compared to the main officer creation. Creating an officer lets you mix and match armour pieces and clothing for 5 areas; the head, the body, the arms, the legs and the feet; which you can select about 8 different colour schemes for each of them. It has a rather extensive facial customisation where you can tweak specific areas to make them more prominent (or less prominent). With weapon choice you choose an existing officer's preffered weapon whic effects the two EX attacks you can choose from. You will find that most of the EX attacks can't be changed , however those who share or have shared weapon types in the past will have that option. Note however that some weapons (notably the ones that faceless generic officers use or DW8 main officers whose EX weapon have changed) will only be able to have 1 EX attack. The musou attack can from any character existing in the game and is not limited to the type of weapon you choose. You are able to choose 3 Musou attacks; 2 on the ground and one of which is activated in the air. The rage attack is also independently chosen regardless of the weapon chosen as your base move set. You can have your main officer marry in the game and later on they will have a child that will eventually take to the battlefield alongside you. However the game generates child's traits, weapon of choice and appearance based on the parent's; which in turn, can provide some rather odd and hilarious results at times! Il gamplay rinnovato di Daynasty warriros 8 xtreme lo si ritrova in questo titolo, la possibilità di scambiare le armi di ogni personaggi è una bella novità e da fluidità al gioco. La scelta di cambiare i vari ruoli che si possono interpretare quando si inizia uno scenario è un'idea molto interessante però le opzioni di scelta e le missioncine presenti non rendono giustizia a questa cosa. Le mini-missioni in particolar modo sono la cosa meno riuscita, sono ripetitive, facili e non danno soddisfazione, per fortuna si può scegliere fino a che punto farle. Il gamplay generale del gioco per il resto rimane più o meno lo stesso dei giochi precedenti, si gestisce il territorio con una fase strategica e una fase di battaglia... fine. La bella novità di questo Dynasty warriors empires, sono le opzioni di personalizzazione dei personaggi creati, infatti oltre a scegliere il tipo di arma e l'aspetto estetico, si possono interscambiare i titpi di mosse con altre armi dando modo di personalizzare davvero bene il persoanggio, che non risulterà quindi solo una copia degli ufficiali famosi presenti nel gioco come accadeva in passato. Consigliato solo agli amanti della serie.
