Is that correct?** A: It looks like it actually sits in front of the gas line for the flames. But it does ignite and the colors are really pretty. After my gas fireplace has been started, the wool begins to glow, similar to burning embers. It does not change the color of the flame. **Q: Can this be used in an outside gas fire pit** A: Probably It holds up well in the indoor gas logs. It may rust outdoors though. **Q: how do I use with lava rock pebbles in fireplace basket?** A: I had lava rocks around my gas logs on the floor.
