I no longer need to attach my light meter to my flash transmitter with a sync cord when using it, since the Sekonic measures the flash without needing a sync cord. The lighted screen of the Sekonic is a big help too, since the screen clearly shows the ISO, shutter speed, and the F Stop readings, so you can see all three while taking every reading.
