## Description

Celebrate 75 years of The Carrot Seed with a new foreword from Caldecott Honor picture book creator Kevin Henkes!

This beloved classic celebrates patience, determination, and believing in yourself. First published in 1945 and never out of print, the timeless combination of Ruth Krauss's simple text and Crockett Johnson's eloquent illustrations creates a triumphant and deeply satisfying story for readers of all ages.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Short impactful story for children
*by on Reviewed in the United States November 27, 2025*

This book will be perfect for my 2 year old.Her attention span is very short right now so the vibrant yellow colour, whimiscal characters, short sentences and action will be perfect for her.The message in the book is that things always seem impossible until it is done and even though others may not believe in your dream, if you remain focus and persevere then it will become a reality.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Timeless!
*by on Reviewed in the United States January 5, 2024*

I have enjoyed reading this book to children and adults. It is so encouraging and uplifting. It is perfect for someone who is constantly put down or told he or she cannot accomplish their dreams or goals. It is a quick read and makes a great object lesson. There is a reason why this book has stood the test of time. I highly recommend reading it frequently. It only takes a few minutes!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it.
