It's kept all the rain off me without going through at all and I got a huge size to be able to put it on over many layers and my very pregnant belly. The only drawback is it can get a bit sweaty on the inside because the fabric doesn't breathe as a consequence of keeping all the water out. There are vents under the arms but it doesn't solve the problem completely. but any more and you'd be letting water in so I'd suggest wearing a fleece or something underneath so you don't feel it quite so much.I use the trousers mainly for grubbing about in the garden and cleaning the rabbits out and they've done a great job. Trouser have a opening to able you to use your trouser pockets, nice size pockets on the jacket, very good buy for the money.One slight error was the Packaging far to big for the product, it did arrive in good condition but a smaller box would have been great.
