**Q: Does anyone know of a model that could handle higher wattage ? i'm looking for something that can support a mcintosh mc252 rated at 2 x 250w**
A: I have the same McIntosh amp and share your concerns about RMS handling.  The majority of these types of switching boxes in this price range appear to be rated at 100w RMS or lower which doesn't meet our needs with the MC252 supplying 250w per channel.

The SOLUPEAK P2 2(1)-in-1(2)-Out Amp Amplifier Speaker Switcher Selector Switch is also rated at 100w RMS but from my research, at least visually, seems to be the most robustly built with 14 gauge internal wiring.  Other than a pricier Niles unit I haven't had much luck finding higher wattage units.

**Q: Can it be used to output audio from both amp a and b to both l and r speakers at the same time?**
A: No, only one amp for each channel at the same time.
You can only hear left channel from amp A and right channel from amp B (& viceversa).

**Q: Is the selector switch a “ Break before make” Type of switch? I want to ensure that it is virtually impossible to back feed one amp into the other.**
A: Just like to clear this up.  There is no way for the two amps to feed into each other. The poles of the left switch is connected to the left speaker only. Toggling the left switch alternate connects amp A or amp B to that speaker. Similarly, the poles of the right switch are connected to the right speaker only, etc.  so of the four possible switch positions, both switches ON connects amp A to left and right speakers; both OFF connects amp B. Both ON/OFF are quasi don’t care in that they are useless but harmless.

**Q: Does anyone know of a "smart" (i.e. controllable with Google, etc) switch like this?**
A: no
