Review: Great matrix ps4 not so friendly. - I bought this within the month and it's a perfect product. Deserves the 5 stars. But the ps4 does not play nicely with it. I believe the problem is the auto detection in the ps4. So I have a 7.1 setup on TV1 and a 2.0 stereo setup on TV2 and when the ps4 detects the normal tv first I have to play around with the matrix to get a video on the 7.1 system which usually ends up being me changing the TV2 to a separate input on the matrix then power down the matrix and turn it on with the 7.1 system only. Then add the 2nd tv. I have also tried the manual audio switches on the matrix and the ps4 don't care it just smirks and laughts. Overall my chromecast, Apple TV, and PS3 play well with the matrix and it works great just beware the ps4.

After purchasing another switch and that one also failed I decided to try again. Here are my requirements: 1. HDMI-CEC 2. work with apple tv,ps4,firetv, popcorn hour 3. must pass all audio My first attempt as I stated earlier, was a failure, but not the fault of the switch. It turns out, atleast on my Sony W630B, because this switch is MHL compatible it NEEDED to be plugged in on the MHL/HDMI port. Every other port had it acting VERY oddly, lockups, no HDMI-CEC, no passing AAC audio. Then it dawned on me about the MHL, once plugged into the port 1(MHL compatible) it all just worked! It satisfied all my requirements. And my EDID settings on the switch it set to auto. So why the -1 star, well not to mention the debugging required to figure it out how to make it work. But there was a problem with HDMI-CEC. When I would plug in multiple devices that use CEC, it seems they would all get confused. Even my PS4 would poweron when I would switch to my firetv, after I powered down my PS4. It seems to me that the CEC protocol was being broadcasted to all the ports. Not sure why it would do this since it is suppose to be a switch and not a HUB. So for the price point its a good deal, maybe if I bought a $300-$500 unit it would resolve my CEC problem. And yes, all my hardware have their firmware up-to-date not even 1 month old. So for now, I keep 1 CEC compat on the switch with all the other units being non-CEC compat. Havent had time to plug in my projector on the 2nd output port but it worked fine when plugged into my TV.

**Q: How is the the audio/video timing between the two outputs.  I want to feed two TVs that are next to each other the same program.**
A: I use the 2 outputs for a projector and a TV. I have had them both on for a short period of time and didn't notice any lag in video. Can't say for the audio since I don't use audio on projector. I am using the optical toslink cable to an amp for audio and it works well.

**Q: Instead of unplugging both my monitors from my laptop, and then plugging them both into my desktop, could I use this? Will both recognize correctly?**
A: This should work as long as both monitors are receiving from a single output source on your laptop and one for your desktop. Since the matrix has two inputs, your inputs would need to be (A) laptop and (B) desktop and your outputs be Monitor 1 and Monitor 2. If you have your monitors both plugged into a video card that supports dual screens like mine does, then I would say that situation would only work to clone your desktop to the monitors and not to use them as an extended desktop.

**Q: Does this switch support 4k at 60ghz? i need it for ps4 pro support**
A: No, this doesn't support 4K @ 60hz.

**Q: The item description says support pip, but i don't see pip button on the remote to activate the feature. so how to activate pip on this hd-202 ?**
A: Unfortunately, the HD-202 doesn't support PIP. Only the HD-602 does.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfectly, good value for price.

Ok, I very rarely write reviews but felt I needed to do so for this product. I replaced a much more expensive HDMI 4x2 matrix switch which the OREI HD-402, primarily because I wanted EDID control. Very pleased with this purchase, and unlike some other reviews I've had no issue with the auto EDID switch setting (1111). Auto setting worked perfectively - i.e. it automatically used the lowest video/audio resolution setting of connected output devices. But I use the OREI to force 1080p 7.1 output regardless of lower resolution connected devices, something my previous $300 HDMI matrix didn't permit. Bottom line, the OREI works as advertised at a very affordable price relative to other similar featured HDMI Matrix switches.
