Makes shoe Non-Flexible. - Immobilizes toe joints to prevent it from bending during walking and sports. - MAY HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR SHOE'S INSOLE TO FIT ## Images ![Carbon Rigid Stabilizer Plate Insoles, Full Length, 1 Pair, Turf Toe Orthotic (Women 9) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51eTOIJgymL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Honest Detailed Insights into firm foot shoe insert *by G***F on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 12, 2019* Hi: i don't usually ever write reviews, but i thought would on this item in an effort to help others... so i doubt anyone else reading this will have the exact same foot problem i have however i was thinking maybe if i explain my issue and how it worked for me others may benefit... so first off my problem in simple terms: i've been going to physical therapy for 2 1/2 years for a "stiff ankle".. involves Talus bone not moving correctly to other alignment issues... then leads into soft tissue etc.. i've made progress.. ok so on to this insert.. i'm really into riding bikes (a lot!) and so when you ride a bike most the weight is on the seat, thus you don't have your normal weight bearing down on your feet.. due to my stiff ankle, as i pedaled rather my ankle bending like it does on my good side, on my bad side the foot would bend (again due to lack of weight bearing).. so my thought was to get these inserts so they'd hold my foot firm... ok.. so my normal foot size is 8 1/2 but i read this run big.. so all my shoes are size 9 (i like to order a larger shoe) but i ordered size 8 inserts and they BARELY FIT.. i mean barely.. again the size 8 inserts barely fit in my size 9 shoes...ok.. then i thought i was only getting one insert (i didn't read carefully) but they do send a pair.. they are identical inserts that are totally flat.. so like they are curved correctly lets say for the left foot.. then the 2nd which is identical, you flip it upside down, then it works for the right foot .. like the arch and stuff design..ok.. again how i said my foot is a size 8 1/2 and i purposely buy shoes a half size bigger.. well these inserts take up volume in the shoe and my foot barely fit.. so i took out my normal insole.. then put these firm inserts in (they are 2 mm thick) then put my insole back in on top of it.. anyway i loosened my laces and these barely fit.. but it did.. so just be aware if you don't have extra room in your shoes.. ok so i tried walking in them and they were a bit hard.. like it took the bounce out of my shoes and my feet hurt a bit after awhile.. but hey i got these for biking so i tried them the next day... and they worked.. i mean whether i say "they worked perfectly or not" really isn't relevant in that whether things were working perfectly or not had to do with my own ankle and foot.. not so much these inserts.. it's like whether these inserts helped me.. and they did in fact help me.. so rather than having 150 pounds of weight on my foot to try to bend my ankle, when i'm sitting on the bike seat maybe there's only 20 pounds of weight.. but these inserts helped me keep my foot in good form and i did get my ankle to bend.. i rode 43 miles my first time out.. at the end of the ride the ball of my foot was pretty sore and this was just due you know the tension in my ankle the ball of my foot feeling pressure to bend the ankle rather than the foot bending which i didn't want it to.. so that part was good...since i only have one bad foot and they sent a pair i was able to put them in a second pair of shoes and they do also help me a bit when i walk.. i mean i normally walk over 5 miles a day so these caused the bottom of my feet to get sore.. however i think they were really helping me more solve my overall problem.. so i'll probably need to pull them out when my feet get too sore... and let my foot recover a bit.. but then i will want to put them back in to again stabilize the foot and get my ankle bending... anyway these were $60 when i bought them.. yeah i guess a lot for what i got however we are talking this is medical related and health and in the context of a doctor co-pay and if they can help you then $60 isn't a lot of money in the big scheme of things.. so i can say they helped me.. they are a tool.. and based on what i've said if you think they as a tool could help you then go for it.. and although not sold directly by amazon, i think you can still return them if you don't like them... you know you may even have to go buy a bigger pair of shoes to use these if your shoes are big on your like mine were.. again more cost.. but hey the goal is to solve the health problem you've got.. good luck and i hope you find a way to improve your foot issue with this or some other item or way.. take care... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars helpful *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on February 14, 2021* Very helpful. still some flex. I doubt these are carbon fiber; the fiber swirls look like fiberglass not oriented carbon. I would expect this to be much much cheaper as the raw product is cheap.
