The only flaw I see, a minor one, is with the mic. Starts out just fine, but the voice-activation level seems to degrade slightly over time, which means one must either speak louder or keep the mic closer to ones' mouth. Passengers comment that my voice volume is slightly soft in comparison to incoming radio calls, other headsets. In other reviews this was described as a 'squelch' problem. Maybe sensitive to heat, or moisture from breath.In any case, I'm very happy so far with the quality and value for money, I'd have offered a 4.5 but unfortunately cannot do that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great entry level headset *by M***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 16, 2019* Bought these a while back when i was just starting to fly. I knew i bought them just as a starter. Most likely after some time ill upgrade to a better headset, but fro the money, these are in no way bad. I have worn them with sunglasses AND foggles on for many hours and only have a very slight discomfort in my ears. With just sunglasses they have worked perfectly. I havnt really used the music feature so i cant comment on it. Either way, a great entry level headset into the aviation world. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good to Start with, not the Long Haul *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 17, 2014* These headsets are good enough at its price point. It does block out sound from a single engine pretty well (7 out of 10 rating) but one of the more frustrating things is that it is pretty bad at transmitting a clear and strong microphone signal. The mic must not have a good quality noise cancellation feature because there are many times where the wash of the engine comes into the feedback of my transmission when talking to either my Instructor or ATC. It forces you to talk forcefully into the mic to be heard unlike my new David Clarks where I can talk like I'm having a casual cup of coffee and still be heard just fine. The music input is a nice feature, it plays in only one ear which leaves the other open for ATC transmissions.
