I LOVE this solution, it was festive, cheerful, and practical. It turned itself on, which I came to appreciate since I didn't think to do so myself. Worried about battery life, I would turn it off, but it was still going into January without dimming after being left to twinkle every afternoon and evening. I will get another string next year I think, to add the cheerfulness to another area of our home. I'm trying to think of reasons to keep this string up for something else: Easter cards, Valentine's, anniversary, or just snapshots we've collected? The battery pack hangs off one end and the other end doesn't have any 'end' just the last clip. You cant use adhesive on the backs of the clips because its a minutely small plastic circle that isn't big enough to adhere to anything. I used mini command hooks on both ends and hid them behind picture frames but it was a process to get it looking good.
