It takes 30 or more for a good profit. I am 9 and not a great performance but I buy less 20.00. The long answer is: for most coins, these miners are all but obsolete. Their mining potential is no match for the more modern solutions out there. That being said, Dash/Darkcoin uses the X11 algo and these miners only mine in SHA256. Theoretically, they can mine any SHA256 coin and I have successfully used them to mine Blackcoins (also SHA256) for a while, but it seems the SHA256 algo is falling out of favor; there are not many new coins using the algo and the ones that are out there still (unlike Blackcoin, for instance) are far too difficult to mine with these miners (in sort, they fall into the first problem I mentioned).
