Review: This can surprise you - I basically bought this for watching BBC nature documentaries since my TV's inbuilt speaker had hard time delivering clear dialogues but I think this Signa S2 is overkill for that purpose. I should have gone for Signa Solo which was selling for 8k during sale (including bank discounts). Now coming to it's capabilities. FORMAT IT PLAYED : Dolby digital, Dolby digital plus, DTS, DTS-HD (Master Audio) and many other formats except Dolby TrueHD & Atmos where TV displayed something like "audio not supported in this video". My biggest concern was if it can play DTS files and it plays them brilliantly. I felt DTS sounded better than Dolby but it may be due to higher bitrate of dts files. VOCALS are amazing. Super clear. Actually whole sound speactrum is too clear with great instrument separation that you will be able to distinguish between different sounds/instruments being played. High notes tone (Tweeters) are just pleasant to listen to. Polk's Voice adjust feature is extremely beneficial and works as advertised. But since soundbar produces such crisp and clear sound I never felt to use that feature but I tried just to test it out and it worked great. It easily fills 15x20 room with just 50% volume that you would feel like sitting in a theater. Now coming to BASS: It's the most controversial part with Signa series soundbar. When playing dolby movies (I played Batla House and Justice league) the rumble was so huge even at low base level setting that it literally felt like being in the scene of the movie. The rumble penetrated 3-4 walls in my house and could be felt beyond 30 feet. When Polk says "Deep Bass Technology" they are truly honest with their claim. Bass felt like Sub-bass most of the time than normal Bass. Bass is what you can hear, Sub-bass is what you feel in your whole body. I also noticed there was no down firing driver in the sub. When you place your hand near sub you will barely feel anything even while producing THAT deep Bass rumble in action scene. Bass effect is more like 3D and feels like PVR cinema at home. These guys (Polk Engineers & Scientists) know the science of sound and are Master of acoustics so they have done something there in the Bass department. Now the controversial part of NO BASS. It occured mostly during streaming music via Bluetooth or even while playing directly from TV. Bass was so loose & non existent (70% of the time) that one would easily get disappointed. Only thing about the bass present during music is some "air pressure type" loose Bass ,which you can only hear, without having any body, depth, weight or punch. But when you watch dolby/DTS movies Bass will just shock you in many ways that you won't be able to believe yourself. One can easily feel that Super deep Punch and weight with 3D effect. So there's definitely some improvement to do in that Bass department but it won't affect your experience during watching any movie. For music lovers I would suggest to go for Magnify Mini rather than Signa S1/S2. It was very easy to install and I used HDMI Arc to connect to my TV. Using Polk's remote I can turn on Bluetooth ,connect with my OnePlus 7 and stream. I actually enjoyed listening to music since I rarely listen to Bass heavy songs ,so Bass issue never bothers me. I got it for around 14k so it's Value for Money for me and actually delivers more than what I paid for. I received 4 power cables (2 two-pin & 2 three-pin). Received all other accessories like optical cable,HDMI cable, remote, batteries. Thanks for reading my review. Cheers ;)
Review: Polk SIGNA 2. I must say i am not disappointed at all - After purchasing a new Samsung 4K 50'' tv I was mainly looking for a Good Sound Bar to boost the Sound Quality of the TV. Since it was a TV/Sound bar for the bedroom i wanted to keep it economical with Quality Sound. After doing a ton of research I decided to go with the Polk SIGNA 2. I must say i am not disappointed at all, It does have HDMI, Bluetooth and you should plug it into the HDMI (ARC) on your tv. The sound bar and sub is perfect for a medium sized room. Base is more than enough and speech and minor sounds come through clearly. Watched movies in Dolby surround and watched regular streaming SDR/HDR content and the soundbar and sub handled almost everything. The set up was effortless and the wireless sub connected in seconds. The sound bar also comes with a paper template and has screw holes in the back so I mounted it without an issue and it looks great. All that’s left is to get some wire hiders. Bottom line if you are looking for a budget friendly soundbar with a sub from a reputable speaker manufacturer look no further. Just a point to Note : It does not handle Distortion well, however does very well overall on the Music and Movie front being a budget Sound Bar.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the length and height dimensions of the soundbar? How many watts is the soundbar and subwoofer?**
A: The wattage of the sound bar is 40 watts. The subwoofer is also 40 watts! That’s 40 watts each! This is a very nice sounding sound bar! The room the sound bar is in is 28 feet by 28 feet! If your not happy with this sound bar, you don’t need a sound bar. You need a sound system like I replaced with this bar. My old sound system would shake the house and rattle the windows with 150 watts of awesomeness ! I now have hearing lose from all of the loudspeakers. It may be impressive to shake the house, but believe me, it’s not worth your hearing. My wife and kids are always getting mad because of having to repeat themselves so often. I can hear fine. I just wish everyone would talk louder! 😂 I was a sound man in a Art Center for over 15 years before retiring. The hearing specialist said I need a pair of 5,000 dollar hearing aids.

**Q: Does it come with the arc hdmi cable?**
A: The HDMI cables I purchased clearly say they support HDCP 2.2 & 2.3, Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) Dolby Atmos Vision and Hot Plugging.
My advice is look for a cable that has at least a 8K @ 60Hz refresh rate. 7680x4320 ultra HD resolution, compatible with 4K@120Hz and 2K@ 240Hz
I use a much more powerful sound bar but this applies to any TV that has a dedicated eARC port

**Q: What size is the subwoofer speaker**
A: Did anyone actually read his question? he asked the size of the subwoofer SPEAKER...It's 5.25" tiny little guy you aren't gonna get much bass

**Q: Will it work well with a samsung tv? or is it better to use a samsung sound bar?**
A: I have an older Samsung 56in TV built in 2009 (doesn't have a dARC connector) I have it attached with the optic fiber. It works great, but I do use the Polk remote to turn the sound on and off and adjust volume. I was using a Samsung soundbar and subwoofer, but Polk provides a vastly improved sound. And I don't have to continually adjust the volume to hear the dialog like I used to do with the Samsung sound bar.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Polk SIGNA 2. I must say i am not disappointed at all

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good performing Soundbar, with a superb sound output ! A winner for its price !!
*by P***A on 17 October 2019*

This is my first POLK audio purchase ever, and it came after I returned a JBL 2.1 Soundbar which failed to impress my ears. I was skeptical about POLK, as I had not heard them but took a risk and ordered following the positive reviews online. The first thing we expect from premium and exclusive audio brands is clean and great sound output. Easy to setup and solid and premium built quality, Polk Signa S2 surpasses this benchmark comfortably as the audio output is clean, no major dips or boost in frequencies, smooth crossovers and has got a great sub woofer which produces clean bass without being boomy. It doesnt go below 45 Hz but I would hardly mind that. I loved the overall balance of sound at "Movie" mode, which works better for me for movies and music as well. The biggest problem is the lack of a display or indication of sound level and bass level on soundbar, but I would prefer better sound over feature richness. The "Night" mode works very well compared to other soundbars, reducing low frequencies and output for a soothing sound especially for late night binge watching. There is no virtual surround and I never noticed any surround effect as claimed, but the separation between Left and right is decent enough. The biggest irony with other audio brands like JBL is that they have gone into marketing war and wattage or power output/loudness is their key selling and comparison point. Polk, on the other hand refuses to do so, which is fair as it does not decide quality of amp or transducer. This soundbar is sufficiently loud for normal ears and mid sized room. You can listen to it for hours at normal levels without feeling exhausted on eardrums or brain. A very good upgrade to TV sound, for its price(₹15.5K) and form, its a very well worth!
