It produces nice shavings and is easy to operate. The size is right, and I like the manual handle as it is easy to use. Can easily e cleaned up and appears quite durable. There is no smell associated with this one and I love it has a cover on the bottom to eliminate the mess. Nutmegs are great tasting and I use this on top of many things as well as my espresso. It came already assembled. My first one came with no markings on the outside. And although you may be able to figure it out, the open and close to work it was not imprinted nor was the GEFU. So I got a new one and returned the one apparently missed labeling in the manufacturer process. I like it well. It shaves the nutmeg beautifuly and has a great storage in the upper part for other nutmegs. I got the one you have to push in to get it to shave, and I prefer the handle. These are good.
