I'm totally new to the hobby and watched several YouTube videos prior to making this purchase and was pleased to find several beginner tools that make your learning experience easier included in the kit. The quilling coach was one of these tools in the kit and it is very useful for getting flat and even curling. The kit also has plenty of colorful precut strips to get you started, and a template with cork board and pins to hold your pieces in place while the glue dries. It comes with a fine tip glue bottle but no glue. That's fine for me because I also do pressed flower art and have my own glue and sharpened chopsticks for application. Be aware, there are no instructions included in the kit, but there a plenty of online resources to help you with that. Be aware that each strip has two sides: a rough side and smooth side. The smooth side faces out and the rough side is away from you. Keep the very sturdy cardboard box that the kit is shipped in because it makes a handy storage case. Thanks.** A: Any craft glue works--I prefer and buy Aleene's clear gel tacky glue - which is an all-purpose adhesive. I do a lot of crafting so I buy the "easy squeeze" larger bottle--sits with the cap down so all the glue is ready at the tip--never clogs or dries up. I will also make a small puddle of glue on a piece of foil--where I will dip the quilling paper ends right into it--fast and easy! Hope this helps.... **Q: Does this come with instructions on using the tools?** A: It dosen't come with any instructions Put i did purchase a book called Quilled Mandalas by Alli Bartkowski. In this book it does explain what the peices you get in the kit are and how to use. **Q: Hi! Does the 5mm kit come with glue not just glue bottle?** A: No, this does NOT come with glue, however, it is a useful bottle that you can fill with Elmer's glue, Tacky glue, etc. This bottle is $4.99 at Hobbie Lobbie. It is VERY useful. **Q: what is the best glue and applicator devise to use for quilling?** A: I use Alene's. It is tacky glue and works well.
