I came to the conclusion that those people who didn't like it either did not read the product details properly before ordering it or only used it once. Don't whip the cup away as soon as the cup fills. The cycle ends with a few drips. Until you get accustomed to using it, measure the water in your cup and add to the machine. Most cups are 300 ml capacity or less. When you start to fill the water compartment the water starts to flow down into the lower part and if you haven't measured your water you will overfill and then things get messy! Also, I have not detected any plastic 'taste' to my hot drink as one reviewer had. The machine is well balanced and ideal for less able folk to use as you slide the cup from under the machine and there is less danger of tipping over a cup of scalding liquid. And, yes, it really is hot! Bought this one as a replacement for my mum’s, which was leaking. Very simple to use and super quick to boil.
