The first production Corsair flew on June 25, 1942 at a time when the Japanese offensive seemed irresistible. It was not until late that year, with the delivery of the first Corsair squadrons into the hands of the U.S. Marines on Guadalcanal and the Solomon Islands, that the tide of air combat was permanently turned in favor of the Allied Forces. To the British Navy in the early 1944 goes credit for introducing the Corsair to carrier service. Nine months later, the U.S. Navy cleared the way for the Corsair to become the mainstay of its mighty carrier fleet ## Features - American Made - Easy to assemble - small but faithful replica ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0006GZ3M8 | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Art Craft Kit Type | model building | | Brand Name | Guillow | | Colour | Multi | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00072365010048 | | Included Components | Balsa wood model kit, printed tissue covering, plastic propeller, wheels, and detailed instructions | | Item Dimensions | 62.2 x 7.6 x 26 Centimeters | | Item Highlight | Series 1000 premium scale kit for shelf display or flight Built for rubber free flight or powered U-Control Made in USA | | Item Weight | 812 g | | Manufacturer | Guillow's | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1004 | | Material Type | Rubber | | Model Name | Vought F4U-4 Corsair | | Model number | 1004 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Paint Type | Acrylic | | Product Style | War,Combat | | Scale | 1:137 (Miniature) | | Seasons | All Seasons | | Set Name | Guillow's Vought F4U-4 Corsair Model Kit | | Size | Small | | Special Features | American Made, Can be built as a display model or flown, Easy to assemble, Electric Powered, Faithful replica | | Subject Character | American | | Target Audience | unisex-children | | Theme | Japanese,War | | UPC | 072365010048 799493832969 | | Warranty Description | No Warranty | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Kid - **Brand:** Guillow - **Colour:** Multi - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 62.2 x 7.6 x 26 Centimeters - **Theme:** Japanese,War ## Images ![Guillow's Vought F4U-4 Corsair Model Kit - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31jQ1ORhxcL.jpg) ![Guillow's Vought F4U-4 Corsair Model Kit - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51qm7e7P3wL.jpg) ![Guillow's Vought F4U-4 Corsair Model Kit - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41CXDIfIh0L.jpg) ![Guillow's Vought F4U-4 Corsair Model Kit - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51iN1u4kEvL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Guillow's Vought F4U-4 Corsair Model Kit, Navy - Fast Drying Wood Cement by Testors - ADVANTUS Gem 1.5-Inch T-Pins, 100 per Box (87T) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/85549498-guillows-vought-f4u-4-corsair-model-kit](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/85549498-guillows-vought-f4u-4-corsair-model-kit) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
