It came as a surprise to me that neither the local Walmart nor Staples carried any. I finally had to order it from desertcart. This package of a dozen 2B pencils is reasonably priced and of decent quality. There is no eraser head at the top end, but I prefer separate pieces of white erasers anyway. It writes darker and smoother than HB, and still holds the sharp tip reasonably well. Therefore, it can substitute regular HB pencils on pretty much all occasions. It is too bad that it has become so hard to find and therefore relatively expensive. There have to be people out there like me who prefer the feel of a 2B over HB. Its not hard like some pencils, but it does the job well. Sometimes the lead will break when sharpening but pretty sure thats the same for most pencils.
