I didn't need to break them in or add insoles; they are just super comfortable right out of the box. They fit true to size, which is great because I usually have a problem with boots being too narrow in the toes, but these fit perfectly. I love them. I just conditioned mine with BICK 4 leather conditioner and they look like new again after many months of wearing them. The leather conditioner makes any scuff marks dissappear and keeps them from cracking. Leather must be conditioned or it will crack and fade. These are boots that are made to last! These are very comfortable and very stylish looking boots. They are light weight and made of real leather, and the leather looks very high quality. Classic. Very comfortable with my inserts. Without inserts a bit roomy in toe box, not an issue for me though. Can wear with anything!!
