I am a self taught artist. I often hear people discussing other artists, but can only visualize the work of some of the artists that are mentioned. This Taschen series is a great inexpensive way to fill in the gaps about artists whom I would like to understand better.

I only knew Hokusai from his wave picture, so it's very interesting to see the rest of his work. Well worth it!
