Review: Aw gee, I'm soooo disappointed - I am so disappointed in Assassin's Creed Unity. Yesterday the game was released and the internet was in a huge kerfuffle about how amazingly buggy the game is, glitching to the point of hilarity. So when I got home with my copy I couldn't wait to start playing so I could join in the fun. I popped the disc into my PS4, waited for it to install, and then started playing. I played it for about six hours straight. To my horror, I found that bugs and glitches are exceedingly rare. In all the time I played, I saw all of TWO glitches. One was a nice French gentleman who was stuck on the edge of a doorway, stuck and twitching like one of the ghouls from Jacob's Ladder. The other was when I was inside a chapel and noticed the huge stained glass window I had seen in a video yesterday afternoon, in which someone is climbing on the window and the frame rate goes down the toilet. I climbed up the window, and sure enough the frame rate went to hell. The good news is, there is absolutely no reason to climb on the window. If I hadn't seen that video yesterday, it never would have occurred to me to climb on it, and I never would have experienced the bad frame rate drop. But that's it. Other than that, so far it seems like nothing more than a great new AC game in which you run around a fantastically designed version of 18th century Paris, playing as a likable rogue of a character through what is shaping up to be an intriguing story. The visual design in this game is a feast for the eyes, I can't overstate how amazing it is to wander around the incredibly detailed (usually filthy)streets of the city and then enter a beautiful mansion owned by some noble, the drop dead gorgeosity of their pristine and decadent abode is delicious eye candy. The lighting effects when going from bright sunlight to a dim interior and vice versa, it's truly a sight to behold. And yes the PS4 GPU incurs a heavy toll. I don't appreciate the intrusion of outside-the-game elements, i.e. messages telling you can't open the yellow or blue chests unless you install the AC Companion App on your smartphone and create an account at the AC Initiates website. But I won't be losing any sleep over it. EDIT: A patch was released which unlocked all of those chests for all users, so it's a moot point anyway. My favorite thing about Unity is that, finally, there is a new AC game that pushes a lot of the same buttons AC2 did. I've been waiting for five years for them to reach that high water mark again, and so far it looks like Unity might be the game that finally does it. This has a been a bad year for Ubisoft as far as how the gaming community feels about them. Between Watch Dogs being blatantly downgraded and the announcement that Unity was being kept at 900p on PS4 simply to maintain parity with the XBone version, a lot of people are pissed and to some degree I agree with them. But I'm not going to let that bias me to the point where I will outright LIE about the quality of this game just to spite Ubisoft. AC Unity is nowhere near as bad as many people are claiming... most of whom have likely not even played it and never will. Based on my personal experience with the game so far, most of the bad desertcart reviews are sounding to me like flat out lies. The game has more flaws than it should, and Ubisoft does suck for releasing it with this many bugs, but believe it or not it's still actually a very good game. If you read the professional reviews, many of them make small mention of any technical aspects and tend to criticize the game for more subjective reasons, which is fine. I'm still somewhat early in the game. If my experience changes I'll update this review. EDIT Nov 14, 2014: 20+ hours in, witnessed a few more NPCs doing bizarre things like trying to walk through solid objects or floating along the ground instead of walking. Another apocalyptic frame rate drop when I was climbing on the outside of a huge cathedral. 99% of the time, no issues. EDIT Nov 19, 2014: Completed the game, never did see an unusual spike in glitches. Ubisoft have done some crappy things over the past few years and they do deserve a good pranging for it. Shame this game has become a casualty of that. I predict in the future there will be many people saying "I just picked up AC Unity for $15, I waited because I heard how bad it was... but it's great. I guess they must have fixed most of the bugs?" Even if they never patch it again, people will say that. After my own experience with Unity I'd be lying if I said it wasn't well worth playing in its current state.
Review: A.C. Altair/Ezio! Honest and Unbiased Review - I love this game so much that idk where to start! Im addicted. People complain about the performance but i havent had any. ATMOSPHERE OF THE GAME: The setting is great! There's people all over the streets of France and theyre always doing something such as fighting, robbing, protesting, grabbing coffee, interacting, etc. The people are not just walking around in groups like in the older games. If you have been an AC player since the time of Altair & Ezio like i have been and you miss the high walls of the holy land or the tall buildings of Italy and huge churches, the city being full of buildings rather than little bamboo houses, and if you miss the underground caves and roads from AC2 and Brotherhood then this game is for you. If you only like the swamps and oceans then go play Black Flag, AC3, or Rouge. I loved Black Flag & AC3 but AC Unity i love it alittle bit more. The map is huge that honestly it's overwhelming but in a good way. Theres just so much to do. THE HATE ON THIS GAME: Ive seen a lot of reviews from people that have recently joined the Creed since AC3 or 4. Since this game takes you back to how it all began i think theyre not use to these crowds and tight spots in the cities. Theyre used to shooting cannons and climbing trees with monkeys. Also they complain about the Parkour/Freerun mechanics because it's harder. Actually it's harder at first but once you get the hang of it, within like 10 minutes, everything becomes fluid and runs great. If you like it easy and just want to hold R2 to climb and freerun then this game isnt for you. Also i see a lot of hate on the fighting mechanics which are by far the best improvements to me! The fighting style is sort of like AC One. It's actually harder though and you will be killed. It isnt like the other AC games that you can easily counter people for hours and take on an entire army. In this game you will die with just 3 or more people attacking you. Also the hate on the performance issues. Ya Id be mad too if the game gave me a lot of performance issues on the launch but as of now everything is great. So thats not something you should be worried about anymore for anyone thinking of buying this game. THE STORY: I havent really played much of the story honestly since im so caught onto playing side missions, making money, and especially co-op multiplayer. Based on what i have played from the story though i can say that Arno is a funny guy. He is sort of like Ezio back in AC2. The story i heard it's good and from what i have played it seems to be getting good. Im not going into detail because i aint going to spoil anything. GRAPHICS: Great! Better than Black Flag and it seems that in a few more years the games will actually look like their cinematic trailers MULTIPLAYER: Ive never really been a fan of AC multiplayer mode but now i am. All i play is co-op. Its really fun. especially with Mics and people that actually want to play not just mess around. PROS: Enemies are harder Huge City along with smaller cities like in AC2 Addicting Lots to do Character customization Lots to do Addicting CONS: Swords, guns, armor, etc are expensive! Addicting OVERALL: This game is beautiful. You wont be disappointed unless you are expecting it to be Black Flag Part 2: Back to the Jungle. If you love all AC games you will like this one. I honestly dont see why the hate on this game besides the performance issues during the launch. If i paid $60 dollars for my copy id say it's worth it. Luckily i got it for $30. Whatever i would of had paid i know id still be happy with the game. P.S. I made a group if you want to join its called "Spartacans" and the tag is "xVKx" stands for "Victorious Kings" lol everything else was taken and this is the best i could find. GamerTag: da-dank-ka-shank i also play FIFA 15 and i am in Division 2 if anyone wants to get beat.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: This should be great! An Assassins Creed game on PS4 not just being upgraded from PS3. What year will it be?**
A: In all honesty, Assassin's Creed is starting to get annoying, just like Call of Duty. Open-world RPG games still rock the boat in my opinion.

**Q: Do I get the pre oder access code for pre ordering it**
A: I got a code from amazon time I placed my pre-order. The problem is, it was an invalid code, and now amazon wont give me another code. I've talked to them several times now and they just keep brushing me off saying they know of the problem and will get back to me when it's fixed... well in three days it wont matter cause the game will be release and then the pre-order promotion will be gone. I've already missed out on the spin to win promotion because of this. Also let me state that this is not the first time I've had issues with amazon and pre-order promotional codes. I wont be pre-ordering anything else from amazon after this.

**Q: The box art has "Limited Edition" at the top ~ What's special about it?**
A: Limited edition has one episode additional on the mission.

**Q: Wich one is better, Black Flag or Unity?**
A: I did not enjoy Black Flag - the assassin was not an assassin and was not enjoyable to play - he was a small improvement over Conner who also was not an assassin- neither character had a Creed other than greed and vengeance - Ezio had character - it seems to me that they are trying to recapture a bit of that in Unity - Black Flag was a pirate game.......I would never have bought a pirate game.....but I did because it said Assassin's Creed on it and I was very disappointed - Unity has run without a hitch for me and I am happy to play a character I do not despise - the story is not as well done as Assassin's Creed 2 though but it does feel like Ubisoft has found its way again with the franchise

It was a nice touch after I play Odyssey. To get back to the old ways of assassins (and I absolutely enjoyed Odyssey. Love the game even) And the parkour system is the best! It was fun to remind myself that killing everyone or just a group of then is no longer an easy task lol. (Which is why I enjoyed berserk blades so much)
