Is this so two or more can be connected together?** A: The red/black pare is the 12 volt dc connection and th green/white pare is switch that changes state when the shackle is in or out. **Q: Anyone have simple wiring diagram? I get black is neg, and red pos, but I have 2 pigtails red/blk, what pigtail does what?** A: One pair activates the coil to open the lock. The other pair is for a switch to monitor the condition of the lock: open or closed. I'm just installing one of these door locks so I don't have experience monitoring the switch contacts, yet. **Q: Is this ok for outdoor use?** A: Probably, but definitely not in any direct water. **Q: Why is there two sets of wires? Is this so two or more can be connected together?** A: 1 set to power the solenoid. The 2nd to give feedback from an internal microswitch on whether it's locked or not. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/82873522-dc-12v-2a-electronic-cabinet-lock-solenoid-drawer-locker-63x50x13mm](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/82873522-dc-12v-2a-electronic-cabinet-lock-solenoid-drawer-locker-63x50x13mm) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
