I really like the tie bar on top to hold the tie in place as well as the two snapping straps which allow the tie to stay in place. I would love if the tie case even more if it could hold more ties, I think the tie case is only made to really hold 2 ties without squeezing additional ties in. I tried to fit 4 ties (2 on each side) and although it does "fit" I would not recommend it as the reason you purchase a tie case is to keep your ties nice and neat.
