Review: Fantastic compact laptop - And I wanted a powerful 14 inch for travelling rather than a larger and more cumbersome 16 inch. I am very pleased with it so far and it has displaced my television, gaming desktop and phone as my primary work and leisure device, so is well worth the money. The screen looks great, but I have been adjusting the brightness down as I have found it is too bright for me. The keyboard feels good and is responsive, as is the touchpad, although I turn this off by default as I have a cordless mouse. Core Ultra 9, 32gb memory, one terabyte storage, RTX 5070 onboard - I purchased it with these specs as I want a powerful machine that gives me the mobile performance I need being away from my desktop more than I ever have been and to futureproof the purchase as I would like to get a decade out of it. For those that are interested - there are keyboard and case lighting options, being old school I have just turned them off. But - one of the most important things for me - the sound and speakers are fantastic. There are speaker grills on the left and right of the keyboard and the whole of the base is also grilled, so the sound is spatial, to the point I have thought there were noises outside when using it. I will probably see if there are any bass options, but as it is I can watch a film and not consider it tinny and inadequate like any other laptop I have ever had and I haven't considered swapping to headphones once since getting it to improve the sound. The power adaptor is a bit of a brick and the power socket is proprietary, but this is to be expected with the power it has to deliver that the laptop can demand. I rarely have time to game any more, so haven't had a chance to put it through its paces, but in everyday light use the fans are hardly ever on and it is silent and I don't even think it notices what I am doing. It is expensive, but is very good value compared to other brands that have similar specs but 16 inch screens and I don't regret having paid for such a lovely piece of technology that can go wherever I am to be able to work, watch films or play games.
Review: Perfect - Perfect choice for anyone
