However, it doesn't adhere well to other foam. I got the foam to put on a CPAP machine to absorb sound waves, making it quieter. It performs that job well. I have also used the 0.25-inch thick closed-cell foam with upholstery leather backing to pad the outer socket of a prosthetic leg. It has served that function extremely well. Review: Sticky! - I used it to wrap the ducting for my range hood in the cabinet above it. It helped cut down the noise a notch, about as much as I could expect from foam this thin. It came in a nice roll. I would have preferred it to be rolled in the other direction so that it would naturally conform to the pipe better based on which side has the adhesive, but I also understand that other people would want the opposite for different projects.
