In winter I simply wear thick socks with them. 4) Washable 5) The soles are not too "hard" and harsh on my my nice (newly refinished!) hardwood floors. The soles are just right for a typical slipper - some slippers are much harder plastic and others are softer plastic. These are just about right for me. 6) They don't look weird or odd - they are fashionable for a men's slipper.
