Review: Quality camera stabilizer at a great price - I am a professional camera operator in Los Angeles, and having been in the industry for over 20 years I've had the opportunity to use dozens of different types of camera rigs...most of them for larger, full size cinema cameras. They all have their pros and cons, no matter the price. There are times when I need to "fly" a smaller camera (GoPro, SmartPhone or even a small DSLR) and I don't want to or can't pull out my full size stabilizer rig...either because of weight, space restrictions or unwanted attention that it draws. So I started looking at smaller hand-held stabilizers. For the few times a year that I would use it I didn't feel like spending a few hundred dollars, so I searched for alternatives and came across this product. First thoughts on receiving the unit was that it was a very sold build, and thought was put into the design. Including different sized weights was a good idea to help tune the balance, in addition to the extendable bottom arm and multi-placement camera mount. Being a Steadicam operator and familiar with the concept I was able to assemble and balance the rig in a matter of a few minutes with several different sizes and types of cameras. All were very easy to balance with just a few adjustments...changing weights, extending/retracting the arm and shifting the camera left or right. All in all a very sturdy and simple rig. I've done a few quick test shots and have been very satisfied with the results. If this is your first time using a camera stabilizer I highly recommend watching several of the videos on the Roxant website, showing assembling, balancing, fine tuning and even operating the rig. You'll save yourself a lot of time and frustration. Overall I'm very happy with this product. I chose the Midnight Black over the Red color for the "camouflage" factor...sometimes you just don't want to draw attention to yourself or distract actors. The size and weight are good. Large enough to be truly stable, yet small enough to be carried and used easily. And again, a quality built product...especially at this price point.

I have a YouTube channel that’s about fishing under " Einstok Alfur" if any one wants to see some actual footage caught using this stabilizer from sept 26 2018 and on this stabilizer will be used. I picked up this stabilizer because i love to create more of a smooth cinematic style shots and transitions to have it stand out I want people to say that looks professional without having the professional price tag! How does it feel? The stabilizer feels very light weight yet sturdy metal design keeps me at a peace of mind when it comes to the saltwater corrosion I’d have to deal with on most other tools I use during filming. Do you like the design? The balance arm with the weights is great so I can flip it upward for easy storage taking less space in my go bag the concept is easy once you get the mechanics and physics behind it . I use a Sony mirrorless camera which Is low weight compared to dslr that all other stabilizers would need more weight in order to work . with this design having no need for batteries makes it functional at any moment and small enough to even stabalize lighter smartphones! That’s amazing in its own ! The color? I got the all black one and it’s very sleek looking, doesn’t ( does not!) look like cheap paint that may fade or crack ! The weight? I believe in the filming industry today alott of beginners as my self will use cell phones and the wieghts work great for my camera but perhaps a few smaller 1/4 or 1/2 ounce micro weights would be great for the smaller device micro adjustments so the washers I use currently don’t take away from the overall professional sleekness design of your product. but the overall wieght of just the stabalizer is awesome when vlogging shots have my arm extended holding the wieght of the camera and stabalizer almost has no difference. Overall I love it and love the results I’m receiving from it . Just mind-blowing how a tool like this can enhance the quality of my projects and I’m sure my viewers will see he difference too. and super affordable ...cant argue that . ;)

I am a professional camera operator in Los Angeles, and having been in the industry for over 20 years I've had the opportunity to use dozens of different types of camera rigs...most of them for larger, full size cinema cameras. They all have their pros and cons, no matter the price. There are times when I need to "fly" a smaller camera (GoPro, SmartPhone or even a small DSLR) and I don't want to or can't pull out my full size stabilizer rig...either because of weight, space restrictions or unwanted attention that it draws. So I started looking at smaller hand-held stabilizers. I bought this after watching videos on how to set it to balance! Not so easy. I have had it for months and have had no luck get this gimbal to stabilize. I am hoping they will return the item. Well it seems it is past the window for returns.... Such a waste of money
