Two were liquids and one was a powder. Being able to pre-portion the liquids was huge, but as an added bonus, I could use a little funnel to get the powder in one, put the cap on, and then pull the little rubber stopper off the plunger and use that as a little cork in the other end. It was easy to pull out because of the little nub that goes into the... spout? in the syringe body works as a little handle. The only annoyance was that the... spout I guess... had a smaller outer diameter than most, so when sticking it into medicine bottles with the hole in the cap, you have to work really quickly to pull in your dosage else it drips onto your hand... but it's a minor annoyance. Might be worse if you work for a vet or something. Is there a cap to stop liquid drops from coming out?** A: They do not have a cap. What you see is called a slip luer syringe. It pushes out all liquid. Great syringes for what I need in rescue **Q: How do I sterilize these prior to 1st use if using to collect colostrum?** A: I would boil them same as pump parts. Test one first but I think they would be ok boiled as they seem to be same type of plastic. Just pull them out in time. **Q: Why are they considered "one time use" syringes?** A: If you look in the "features and details" section it states they are reusable. **Q: What type of plastic are these made of?** A: None of these products come with directions or what they are made wjth.
