The output is variable based on the live load. Hopefully that helps. **Q: Are there any issues charging a 24v lifepo4 to a 12v lifepo4 with this charger?** A: I use the Orion 24/12-25 to bulk charge my 12.8 volt nominal LiFePO4 battery bank from my other 25.6 volt nominal LiFePO4 battery as a supplement to the MPPT Solar Charge Controllers with good results **Q: This unit is listed as 70 amps, is that for the output (12volts)?** A: Yes, that is the full load rating for the 12VDC output **Q: One reviewer states having issues charging 24v batteries from an alternator with the 12/24 model. Can this be safely and effectively done?** A: This is not the right device for that. ## Frequently Bought Together - Victron Energy Orion 12/24-Volt 20 amp DC-DC Converter Non-Isolated, High Power - ZkeeShop XT60i to O Ring Terminal Cable，More Than 8A，10AWG Extension Cable XT60i Female to O Ring Connector XT60i-f Compatible with Lipo Batterie (1.5M/5FT) - Blue Sea Systems 7182 285-Series Circuit Breaker, Surface Mount, 40A --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/82086530-victron-energy-orion-12-24v-20a-dc-dc-converter-non](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/82086530-victron-energy-orion-12-24v-20a-dc-dc-converter-non) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
