I've tried Velcro to hold on the decorations and it wasn't strong enough but these magnetic strips are pretty strong. They stick together good and were easy to cut to the length I needed. Review: I'm Rather Attracted To It - Sadly, this didn't work for what I bought it for. That was not the fault of the tape though as they were actually stronger in both adhesive and magnetism than I expected. The material I was trying to stick to it though was the problem. It was a little hard to cut with normal office scissors, so I would recommend a heft pair of shears to cut it, otherwise you will have slipping issues between the magnets if you're trying to cut them together. I needed to run the tape the full length of my curtain seam to get a good seal.
