Nostalgia CICM2WB Electric Maker with Candy Crusher Makes 2-Quarts Ice Cream, White

I've never owned an ice cream maker, let alone made ice cream, and this machine does what it says.I follow the directions exactly, and I've made frozen yogurt, ice cream, and sorbet. I haven't followed recipes in the manual, but rather looked some up online.You do get what you paid for. I'm sure there are better quality machines on the market, but this works for the price. The plastic isn't dishwasher safe, and I'm sure it won't hold up forever. The paddle touches the sides but I still scrape the sides down to help reduce stress on the paddle and gears.

We wanted one that uses ice and didn't require freezing the bucket all the time. We also wanted one sized better to our needs (which a 4QT is overkill and bulky to store). This smaller unit doesn't take up much more space than a spaghetti-pot.If there were to be an improvement, it would be with the recipes. When you get a crockpot or other small appliances, you generally get a fair number of recipes designed for the machine. I was able to google quite a few though so expect to need that.

Bought for my teenagers to use due to being home since March from this virus thing going around. They have made a little bit of everything. They are even trying online receipts to make similar things to blizzards and flurries. They love the option to add treats in to them too and takes half the time of a normal maker too.

During this pandemic, kids get antsy with only so much I can do since I am working from home. It was a fun purchase, kids love it and they can come up with some good flavors. Easy to use and clean

Made 4 batches of ice cream one batch of sorbet. The recipes that I made with egg yolks and cooked on the stove was very thick. When I make ice cream I make sure everything is very cold before hand. When I put the batter in the ice cream maker the paddle Would not stay in the mounting bracket and kept trying to spin with the metal container. I had to hold the paddle for two batches of ice cream. This ice cream maker will freeze ice cream, if you cannot get it to freeze it’s not because of the ice cream maker. Very cheaply made. Some of the plastic tabs broke off in only a few times of using it I will be returning this item.

Love this item. Made 2 quarts of chocolate ice cream with crushed nuts and brownies in under 22 minutes- simple and easy. Everyone was amazed with this product and enjoyed the ice cream tremendouslyI may buy one for my sister too! (if she is nice to me)

Doesn't crush candy the way it claims to. I bought it for the candy crusher so I was disappointed. Icecream maker works fine.

First time using

This works great! It will make milkshake consistantcy ice cream and then pop in into a freezer safe container and freeze for a few hours and you have perfect icecream. I now want to buy a machine that doesn't require ice and salt to work, but in the meantime I am happy with this purchase

Easy to use, easy to clean. It takes less than 30 minutes to make great ice cream!!I have made Rocky Road and Strawberry so far.I only wish you could order an extra canister for making more than one batch at a time.
