In the end, I opted for this cutter engraver because the 3D printers in the price range seemed good for just making toys and models. With this I feel like I can actually build something worthwhile and functional. I am happy with my purchase, although I wonder if I didn't overpay for it, as I have seen talk on the net, such as reddit and elsewhere mentioning the same model...years earlier at a lower price, but maybe this particular model is upgraded in ways that the earlier models of the K40 were not. One thing I will say concerning the good quality of the machine is how impressive is the accuracy of the cut that I ask for it to do.
