Why is it the best quality? Because it comes with a soft silicone washer which does seal and a brass nut which is a massive plus, a lot of them come with a plastic nut which cracks over time if not when you're tightening it up! But beware, the leaking you will probably get is because you need to use teflon tape on the waste thread to stop the water dripping through. Can you confirm which is correct?** A: The measurement is 40 mm. The 1.25 inch in the picture is incorrect, it is just over 1 9/16 inch (1.57 inch). I replaced old traps and these fitted straight onto the existing U-Bends. **Q: Does this have one slot or two for the overflow?** A: 2 slots **Q: Bought cheaper ones from another seller...£4 after a year the chrome has peeled off, is this because it’s cheap ? Are these good ?** A: Unfortunately, I don’t know what you bought previously but it may have been coated plastic. These wastes are all metal - chrome plated brass and stainless steel. I would expect a coated brass item to retain its plating much better. I have purchased two of these in the past and been very satisfied with both.
