The general purpose fertilizer 20-20-20 is great for maintaining plants in garden center and growing facilities. It provides fast green up and great foliar expansion due to the high percentage of ammonium and urea nitrogen plus balanced phosphorus and potassium for excellent root and shoot growth. Review: This fertilizer works very well for the veggies I grow indoors. - I have grown almost all of our veggies and herbs indoors for about 15 years. In that time, I have tried quite a few different fertilizers. In the last couple of months, I have been using this fertilizers on my veggie greens, and have had excellent results. The balanced NKP of this fertilizer helps growth of the plants as well as providing support for the roots. It should be noted that this professional version of all purpose fertilizer contains more nutrients than the classic version. This fertilizer is very easy to use as it requires only 1 tsp. per gallon of water for every watering, and dissolves instantly. I have had excellent results using this fertilizer, and it increases the longevity, productivity, and growth of my kale, collards, Swiss chard, and other veggie green plants. Many of my plants live well over 5 years growing them indoors.

Here in Florida with the heat and sometimes constant rain, the plants get pretty beat up. The sun beats them up, then nonstop rain rinses the nutrients away. Just a little of some jacks sprayed around the plants and they perk right back up and look nice and healthy. Glad I got the big bag. I plan on growing a ton of plants in the garden this year.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this product be applied to grass lawn using a Broadcast spreader?**
A: I don't believe so! Used mostly in greenhouses. Add it to water.

**Q: Does this have to be mixed with water before applying or can you just sprinkle some around the base of the plant?**
A: I used it in a hydroponics setup so of course it was dissolved in water.  I don't see why you could  not sprinkle a very thin layer on the surface or mix into the soil. I am just not sure why you would want to use a water soluble fertilizer in that manner. The directions on mixing are based on ratios of fertilizer to water.  But give it a try. What can you lose.

**Q: Could I use this in my earthbox fertilizer strip?  Or would it be too potent?**
A: Just mix at half strength if your worried about being to strong

**Q: would this be good to use on a one acre food plot ?**
A: No, it appears the cost would be prohibitive - since you aplly this stuff every 7 to 14 days and 1 pound covers about 400 square feet - to cover one acre (approx. 43,500 feet) would then take about 100# every 7 to 14 days.

I've been using Jack's Professional aka Jack's Classic All Purpose 20-20-20 for many years. You can water virtually all of your garden with this fertilizer! I use it for both outdoor & indoor plants. I've even used it to revive part of my yard that was dying! It can also be used in both soil & soilless mediums. If you are unsure on how much you should use 1/2 of recommended dose is a good start. If your plants start to claw you are feeding them too much. If they start to fade in color you can probably feed them a little more. You can also use this as a foliage spray (use about .25 normal dose). If your plants are turning yellow or fading in color this will brighten them back up again! It's a shame this is not sold anywhere where I live. Here's a little info from J.R. Peters site that you might find useful: Jack's All Purpose 20-20-20 Just as the name suggests, Jack's All Purpose 20-20-20 is a balanced formula applicable to a variety of growing material. Its 1:1:1 nutrient ratio makes it good for almost any stage of plant growth. The design of the formula uses nutrients that provide strength to the plant, as well as, lush green growth. It can be used as a constant liquid feed or periodic feed, alternating with water or rain to provide the plant with a boost of balanced nutrition. Preferably, it should be used on soil-based media, rather than on soilless media, primarily during warmer months, indoors or in warm-climate regions. These environments allow the roots to take up the nitrogen sources most effectively. Long-term use of high Phosphorus formulas can lead to plant stretch in some plant varieties. Therefore, it is recommended when using this formula over long periods (greater than 3-4 months) of plant growth, alternate with a lower Phosphorous source such as rainwater, calcium nitrate or other lower phosphorus fertilizers. Application of this fertilizer can be used as a root drench or foliar spray. The nutrient package in the All-Purpose 20-20-20 is designed for optimum absorption by the leaves when sprayed at the recommended rates; however, a root drench is just as effective and will leave little to no salt build up in the media.
