Review: Quick set up, perfect fit on my 2010 ford focus - The Hood shield fit my 2010 Ford Focus perfectly. Installation was easy enough for me. The shield attaches to the hood of my car with a powerful adhesive tap that is glued to the bottom of the shield. There is peal-off wax paper that protects the adhesive tape from sticking to anything until application. I made sure to thoroughly clean the hood of my car with Windex, pre-position the shield on the hood of my car, and mark out the exact spot in which I wanted the shield to remain on the hood of my car before removing the wax paper from the adhesive tape on the shield. The shield is rather flexible so placing the sheild on the hood of my car was not an exact science but with the marks I made, it fit almost perfectly. I started to position the shield a little crooked, realized my mistake and was able to pull part of the adhesive off my car hood without damaging the paint or adhesive. I doubt it would be a good idea to try and pull the entire thing off once the adhesive has been set. I mean it's probably possible but It would likely damage the adhesive. I bought the shield to help protect my hood from rock chips since I live in an area that gets a lot of snow and ice in the winter and the county/state sand the roads a lot. I can say that this shield will not protect my car from rock chips on the vary front edge of my hood, since the shield does not wrap around the front edge of the hood, but due to it's size and design, I am confident that it will otherwise protect my car hood from rock chips and bug spatter. It also looks stylish on my car. Review: Looks nice - Was fairly easy to apply, does make it look nice and helps protect the front of the shield. But do wish Auto Ventshade has also make the low profile deflector for my vehicle in addition to the skin. One of my other vehicles has the deflector instead of the skin and looks great.
