High recommendation for purchase. *by E***E on September 9, 2020* After assembly of the two pieces you forget that it is two pieces; comfortably wears as one harmonious unit. Even with me being somewhat short-chested compared to length of limbs, this vest allowed for all manner of workouts involving bending at the waist without bottom-of-vest interference. The large Velcro straps allow for very quick, customizable waist fitting and for ease of putting the vest on / off.This 40lbs unit came with ten 4lbs bars. each bar is encased in a black synthetic cloth material that allows for easy insertion into a vest pocket (5 front, 5 back). And although the bars are not solid (iron ore grains or sand?), they are very compact, sturdy and have no flimsiness about them.Yes, the protruding chest area necessitated elevated push-ups so as to not touch the floor. However, that one issue paled against the benefits of added weight and deeper movement.
