Rio Briati Grated Parmesan is hand selected and aged for a hard, granular texture studded with small, crunchy crystals (those little clusters are actually protein, not salt and they develop in well-aged cheeses starting at 9 months of age). Then, the cheese is conveniently pre-grated for your sprinkling and cooking ease. Rio Briati Parmesan's flavor is both sweet and salty, with lingering notes of toasted nuts. Don't just stop at pasta topping! Parmesan can be sprinkled over salad or roasted or steamed vegetables. In soups grated Parmesan adds a deep, rich flavor and it can even be toasted in a non-stick pan to make homemade cheese crisps. Rio Briati Parmesan is made with vegetarian rennet and is always gluten-free.
