It's too much of a hassle to open it and stuff things in, when there isn't much room to begin with. Some of my papers build up over the year and I have to hang onto tax stuff...so I needed a bit more room. These do expand a bit, so I can widen the bottoms if I need to hold a lot of stuff. I have those milk crates with the ridges for these kinds of files with the metal wings. They're more portable and versatile than a heavy filing cabinet. Since the file folders will be visible through the crates, I wanted some pizzazz. Nothing against Pendaflex's typical army green or the 'jewel tones' but these are girlier and that's how I'm feeling. Pretty happy to have pink.
