Obviously, coconuts are difficult to get into, so hammering the tool into the coconut is expected to not be easy, but the mallet head should not fly off and bounce around your kitchen. Not happy about that! If it was supposed to be glued on or nailed or screwed on, I don't know, but there is no glue residue on the end of the handle so maybe this one was missed?
