They will usually arrive to your garden at a lively 3-8” tall. But sometimes, they just can't contain their excitement and might show up even taller! Unwrapping a baby plant is like a green treasure hunt! The size of your new leafy friend can vary with the season or how long they've been flexing their roots here. So, each unboxing is a fresh, fun surprise! We offer five Fuel Fertilizers specifically designed for any Wellspring Gardens plant you select. Our formulas include a balanced ratio of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), the three primary macronutrients that plants need to thrive. But that's not all. Each Fuel formula also contains essential intermediate nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and sulfur, as well as a host of micronutrients. Together, these elements work to stimulate strong and healthy growth, helping your baby plant reach its full potential. Moreover, plants also need carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, which they naturally get from air and water. When combined with optimal sunlight and watering practices, your baby plants are set up for success. ## Features - FULL SUN & MOIST SOIL: Piper nigrum, or Black Pepper, is a tropical vine that thrives in full to part sun and moist, well-drained soil. Plants will stop growing when temperatures drop below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. **Q: will this plant grow in oregon where there is a lot of rain?** A: Sorry, I don’t know, I live in Los Angeles county California. When I researched it, I understand that it is supposed to get full sun to partial sun and that it does not do well in cold weather. I got mine in the fall. It got a lot colder this winter and it started to loose leaves, so I brought it in the house by a window. It lost all its leaves. I have since took it back out about 2 weeks ago in full sun. Everything else has gotten new leaves and flowers, but it still has only the vine which still looks green. I hope it will start to grow soon. I will update my answer when that comes. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plant was delivered in good condition *by on Reviewed in the United States August 5, 2026* The plant came in healthy. They packed it nicely in a box with a bag around it to hold in the moisture. I didn't have a pot and soil at the time because it was delivered quicker than expected. I recommend having everything ready before its delivered. I put it in the windowsill for a couple of days until I was able to get around to it and repot it. It was stressed because I waited a few days to repot it that it ended up loosing one leaf. I have had the peppercorn plant for over two weeks now and seems to be doing well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great plant *by on Reviewed in the United States February 15, 2025* Once is took root it was growing great, very happy with it, beautiful distinct leaves, strong stems, it’s a slow grower but that’s solely genetics and has nothing to do with the company. I’ve bought multiple things from this seller and have been pleased every time. However the winter I didn’t get my vine inside soon enough and it frosted over and now is gone so I’ll be ordering a new one soon here hopefully. It’s death was entirely my fault and if grown inside it will live forever no problems. ### ⭐ Smaller than expected *by on Reviewed in the United States January 29, 2023* It’s a healthy plant but very small.Update: it is dead there were no roots when I removed it from the pot. It seams the sent a cutting only. So disappointing. ## Frequently Bought Together - Black Pepper - Piper nigrum - Wellspring Gardens Starter Plant, Live Peppercorn Tree, Herb for Indoor/Outdoor Growing, Dwarf Fruit Plant, Ready for Planting in Gardens, Variety for Cooking and Spices - Vanilla Bean Orchid Live Plant - Vanilla planifolia by Wellspring Gardens - Fragrant Vanilla Beans, Versatile Vine, Tropical Elegance, Aromatic Treasure - Vanilla Bean Starter Plant - Ceylon Cinnamon Cinnamomum zeylanicum Starter Plant Potted Tree Spice Tea --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/77977824-black-pepper-piper-nigrum-plant-1-pack-spice-plant-by](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/77977824-black-pepper-piper-nigrum-plant-1-pack-spice-plant-by) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
