So, meet United Cutlery's new M48 Cyclone Boot Knife! Just like its "big brother, " the 5 3/4" cast 2Cr13 stainless steel blade has been crafted into a tri-edged triumph, using temperatures up to 1, 030 degrees, which gives it a 48HC. The three spiraling cutting edges come down to an incredibly sharp piercing point. As with all M48 knives, the glass-fiber-reinforced nylon handle gives you a strong and secure grip. The boot knife also features a solid stainless steel hand guard and skull crusher pommel. The blade slides into a custom Vortec belt sheath that fits like a glove and is virtually indestructible. **Q: Where is it manufactured ?**
A: China, where else......

**Q: Is it made in America? Is it cast or forged?**
A: As it states in the description, its cast. Its a high quality stainless steel, but because its stainless steel, it won't be a forged item. I've handled several pieces of the M48 line and they definitely feel heavy duty and battle ready.

**Q: Anyone know a knife sharpener that would work on the blades for this?**
A: There are persons, maybe fine carpenters, I know they sharpen the pricey drill bits they have, I don’t know how they do, I think it’s by hand, using a round or fine File.

**Q: with the clip how does it attach to the boot and is it secure enough to stay on**
A: I don't clip it to my boots. Too big to be comfortable. But it stays very tight on my backpack.
