And can you use spray cooking oil to keep lubricated?** A: Direction illustrates oil being poured right onto the the bar and chain. I have just been pouring small amounts of bar chain oil right onto the chain where it goes into the housing. So far this lil saw is doing a great job. As far as using cooking oil. IDK. This little cordless and powerful chainsaw really helps out a lot to get the jobs done where a pruner just can’t do it. It could even cut the limbs that are quite thick, around 5” or so.
