I ordered this pump for my Toyota Tacoma (its the pump for the supercharger intercooler). I'm assuming you are referring to the old pump when asking about how to remove the bracket as the new pump itself did not come with a bracket (mine didn't anyway...) There was a bit of adhesive/caulking on one of the brackets to keep the pump from vibrating loose while the truck is running. I cut the caulking with a razor knife, disconnected the wire connection and hoses, then slid the pump out, leaving the brackets in place because the bolts were hard to get a wrench on. This worked fine and I wasn't worried about damaging the old pump (because it was already broke...) The new pump slid right into the old brackets and I finished connecting hoses and wire connection. I would recommend putting a 'dab' of caulking on the pump right where the brackets are to keep it in place, just like it was originally. Hope this helps.
