I used a FLEX 3401, 6.5" orange Lake Country foam pad. Four to six fast passes is enough but you can definitely work it a lot longer if you want. Waiting the recommended 5 to 10 minutes to remove will make it easier to remove. Two thorough removal passes are required. The whole process took about 2 hours on a clean car. This is by far the best I've ever used. 2-3 pea size dots per panel...that's all you need. The product doesn't dry quickly and you have plenty of time to work the panel. Scratch correction is good. I couldn't take a picture, the shine was soooo intense, my camera couldn't handle it. Buy it, it's really good. The job I bought this for, this was the wrong tool. I needed a compound with a little more cutting power.
