I decided to risk it and see what it could do. I’ve made quite a few frozen yoghurt/healthy desserts over Christmas including using low fat Greek fage yoghurt (5% fat) The results are amazingly good. Creamy frozen yoghurt that tastes just like ice cream but without all the calories. I read somewhere that to stop ice crystals forming in lower fat desserts being made in the creami you should add xanthan gum. I got a huge tub of this off desertcart very cheaply. I’ve added a quarter of a teaspoon to approx 450 to 500g of yoghurt before putting it in the creami. Ive mixed it well using a stand mixer and then frozen the mixture.
